French's Shoes & Boots

Nashville, TN ~ French’s Roots are their Boots! French’s Shoes and Boots partners their famous “Music City Boots” brand with “Music City Roots: Live from The Loveless Café”, each Wednesday this fall as a leading sponsor.

“Music City Roots: Live From The Loveless Cafe” is a weekly live radio show that showcases the Americana music scene. It will air Wednesday nights, 7-9 p.m., live from the Loveless Barn on the outskirts of Nashville. Opening night, October 14, will feature Americana icon Emmylou Harris, the acclaimed songwriting duo of Pam Rose and Mary Ann Kennedy, and emerging artists Annie Crane and Robin Aigner.

French’s and their team will be present each Wednesday night with a product display and to offer information on their long standing middle Tennessee boot, shoe, and apparel brand. “We are proud for French’s Music City Boots to support the grass roots of music in the greatest city for music in the world, Nashville Tennessee,” says Rodney French, President.

French's had its start as Walker's Shoe Store on Main St. in Crossville, TN over 100 years ago. Several generations of the French family honed their footwear skills at Walker's Shoe Store until it became French's Shoe Shop in 1972. What began as a small town store selling refurbished shoes grew into a destination shopping experience over the past 38 years. Now with 8 convenient locations and web store to serve you, French’s offers a large variety of services and products to meet every size and need. But, Boots is French’s middle name! Visit www.musiccityboots.com for more information on French’s.

“French’s deep Tennessee “roots”, down home handshake business philosophy, and extreme passion for music make this a great partnership. Music City Roots displays our rich musical roots to an international platform. This vision correlates with French’s vision. Boots and western wear have always been related with Nashville, musicians, and all the fans. We are excited to already partner with Americana group “Hard Rain” and look forward to partnering with more musicians in the future. More importantly, we look forward to collaborating with music fans around the world, as they keep the music playing; and providing what we know best, BOOTS! Music City Roots puts us on that international platform,” states Chris Bodily, French’s Marketing Director.

Each “Music City Roots” show will be emceed by WSM announcer Eddie Stubbs and guest hosted by singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale. Future shows will include such musical luminaries as Sam Bush, Radney Foster, Marshall Chapman, John Cowan, Dexter Romweber, Dale Ann Bradley, Peter Bradley Adams, Mike Farris, Scott Miller and Webb Wilder. The show is produced by Todd Mayo, founder of Music City Media and the subterranean radio show, “Bluegrass Underground,” which also airs on WSM 650-AM.

In addition to airing across much of the continental United States over WSM 650-AM, “Music City Roots: Live From The Loveless Cafe” will be streamed live on WSMonline.com. Previously aired programs will also be archived at the site for streaming on demand.

Tickets for the live show each Wednesday are $10 or $5 with a student ID. They are available in Nashville at Grimey’s New and Preloved Music or online at www.musiccityroots.com. Tickets may also be purchased in advance or on show nights at the Loveless Barn, at the intersection of Highway 100 and the Natchez Trace Parkway.
