The definition of talent is, “A natural ability to do something well”, which perfectly describes LynnMarie Rink. However, it seems as if she is one of the lucky one’s, born with the natural ability to do many things well.
LynnMarie is a five-time Grammy nominated performing artist. Her unique style of music, played on a rare instrument called a diatonic button accordion, has garnered her worldwide attention, as well as an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She has performed all over the world and collaborated with some of the music industry’s most respected artists like Chet Atkins, Hal Ketchum, Dobie Gray, Air Supply and Vince Gill.
When she is not performing on stage in front of the cameras, she is working behind the scenes as a television associate director and producer. “I work in television to support my music habit,” laughs LynnMarie, but she has made quite a name for herself. Producing and Assistant Directing such high profile shows as The Academy of Country Music Awards Red Carpet for GAC, Live music shows from The Superbowl for CMT, and a variety of shows for the Dick Clark Company, her day job provides just as much excitement and intrigue as her music career.
That leaves her spare time, which she recently spent by writing and starring in her own off-Broadway production of her life story, Wrap Your Heart Around It, produced by Emmy-Winning Director Paul Miller. She performed the musical dramity in front of two sold-out audiences in New York City, and was awarded “Best New Production” by the United Solo Theater Festival. She followed up that success with an eight week run at The Falcon Theater in Burbank.
If you can imagine that there is any more time left in her busy schedule, LynnMarie can be found sharing her story of hope and encouragement by speaking and performing for woman’s groups, Down syndrome organizations and even in prisons.
The strength of LynnMarie’s success across so many mediums comes from her ability to connect with her audience; whether in a song, on stage, from a television production booth and now in book form. Her memoir, “Wrap Your Heart Around It”, released on Post Hill Press, will be released in March of 2016.
LynnMarie lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband of twenty-nine years, Jim and their six-year-old son James.
