Connect with Bela
Bela Kawalec moved out of South Florida two years ago and landed in Nashville Nashville with her Mom to be ‘closer to the music’. She grew up in a musical household; her mother was a conductor of musical theater in Holland and a well-known concert pianist. As a result she has been listening to musical theater since she was a little girl, which in turn sparked her love of storytelling through song. While living in South Florida she played at many showcases including Chrystal Hartigan Presents at the Broward Center. Ever since her move to Nashville she has played songwriters festivals and shows all across the U.S, and just this past February released her first self-titled EP. The EP was recorded in Franklin, TN, and is compiled of three heart-rending songs that present a small picture of what her life and story has been for the past two years. Backed only by her guitar, Bela’s sound is an original and soulful blend of blaringly honest lyrics and intricate melodies. You can catch her live in venues all around Nashville, including her frequent appearances at the Bluebird Café.
